Transcription in another language or directly transcribed from another language into English is needed for several purposes. For example, we do a lot of commercials and business interviews and the editors want to keep the best scenes in the final cut so they need us to transcribe them into English so they know what the actors are saying. They also need their talents or celebrities they interviewed who only speak another language to understand what is going on. Also, for legal purposes, many recorded audio and videos are to be transcribed verbatim.

Usually, transcription does not require a detailed timecode with in time and out time like subtitling but it does need a timecode to indicate where a sentence start and ends. Sometimes it is required to identify the speakers as well. Our translators are very experienced with these different practices and will use whatever you prefer.
